ArcGIS Location Platform: Innovations in Q1/2025

The ArcGIS Location Platform is Esri's Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering for developers who want to create location-based applications and solutions with a <\/SPAN>flexible business model<\/A> <\/SPAN>. It includes various Maps SDKs, tools, and ArcGIS Location Services. The entry barrier is very low with a free <\/SPAN>ArcGIS Location Platform<\/A> <\/SPAN>account and monthly free quotas for many ArcGIS Location Services.<\/P>In the first quarter of 2025, not only were updates made to the data basis of the ArcGIS Location Services, but new services and exciting extensions to existing services were also introduced. Here are the key updates: <\/P>[New]<\/STRONG> ArcGIS Elevation Service<\/A>: Query of ellipsoidal (geodetic) heights above ground or orthometric (geoid) heights above mean sea level in meters.<\/LI>[New]<\/STRONG> ArcGIS Static Basemap Tiles Service<\/A>: “rasterized versions” of about 30 popular ArcGIS Vector Tile Basemaps, intended for use in apps on low-performance devices or virtual environments<\/LI>[Extension]<\/STRONG> ArcGIS Geocoding Service / Batch Geocoding<\/A>: Mass geocodes from 100,000 with address information in zipped or unzipped CSV format.<\/LI>[Extension]<\/STRONG> ArcGIS Routing Services / Last Mile Delivery<\/A>: Calculation of the most efficient routes for a fleet of delivery vehicles from a depot over multiple routes to many end customers.<\/LI>[Update]<\/STRONG> ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript 4.32<\/A>: many new features and useful extensions focusing on visualization, Web Components (Widgets evolution), analytics, and Utility Network have been released.<\/LI><\/UL>
