AGO Symbology Update

It would be highly beneficial to have the ability to update vector symbol text directly in ArcGIS Online or enable a symbology sync option from ArcGIS Pro for AGO layers.

Currently, updating symbology requires several manual steps: modifying the symbology in ArcGIS Pro, updating the style file in AGO, logging into AGO, and then adding the new symbol from the updated style file. This process is cumbersome, even for minor changes—such as creating a new symbol based on an existing one with only a text modification.

Ideally, a direct symbology sync from ArcGIS Pro to AGO would streamline this workflow and improve efficiency.

Agreed. Symbolizing maps has been a struggle over the years, especially since new map was added. While we have more functionality such as advanced symbols with multiple parts it makes it really hard to use in both Classic and New Map. I think this is one of the hardest tasks that Esri has in front of them to fix at this point in time as we are still very much tied to classic map for the purpose of batch attribute edit widget that is only available in classic web application builder.
