The table widget has the option for the end user to manually switch between "Show all" (default) and "Show selection". The designer should be able to set "Show selection" as the default behavior of the table widget.
* A selection only view of the table is not always an appropriate solution because, in this case, the table is also filtered by a list for another purpose and is not intended to exclusively show selected records.
