Problem installing ArcGIS Pro 3.3 after 3.4

Question

Hello,

I had ArcGIS Pro 3.4 on my computer but I needed version 3.3. So I've to uninstall the 3.4 to, later on, install the 3.3 but it was impossible.

Each time I try to run the ArcGISPro.msi I get this message:

I've also tried to remove every remaining file of ArcGIS Pro using the Registry Editor, it didn't work either.

Does someone have an idea of what is going on?

I ran into a possibly similar issue this morning so just want to mention. It revolves around Windows user profiles. You might have some resource locking as the permissions message suggests.

I had a user that we were trying to upgrade from 3.0.0 to 3.4.0 and kept failing on a similar permissions issue. Anyway, the root cause was that a different user on the same computer had a different version installed of Pro installed. Once I had uninstalled Pro from both user accounts we were able to perform the install.

Just an avenue of investigation to think about.

Incase you have any issues reinstalling or ArcGIS Pro 3.3 or 3.4 again and if you are using Deep Learning Libraries here are steps you can take to remove them if you encounter this error message

"error 2343: path not found"

* Navigate to the Microsoft Fix It tool: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/topic/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed-cca7d1b6-65a9-3d98-426b-e9f927e1eb4d
* Download troubleshooter and run the tool
* Follow the onscreen instructions
* In window Are you having a problem installing or uninstalling a program? choose option Installing
* Select ArcGIS Pro Localization and click Next
* Click Yes, try to uninstall
* Resolving problems may take a while
* When troubleshooting has been completed, close the tool
* Run ArcGIS Pro Localization installation. The installation should not receive error and end up successfully.
