Can you remove the extent setting from the Bookmark widget?

Hello, 

Using Developer edition Version 1.16 of Experience Builder with Enterprise 10.9.1.

I am wondering if anyone can help me or give me advice on seeing if I can remove the extent from the Esri default Bookmark widget. 

What am I trying to accomplish: I just found out you can Bookmark layer visibility and I was hoping to use this functionality without having to set an extent that it goes to. Does this seem counter intuitive for a bookmark widget... yes.. but, I am trying to make an easy way to be able to switch between aerial imagery with other layers available to turn on and off above the aerial imagery. Our organization used to use Geocortex and they had a basemap switcher in a slider format that everyone loved and misses. So, I thought if I could make Bookmarks with the certain aerial image turned on and remove the extent to which it was set at, then maybe it could work as a makeshift replacement. 

It probably won't work, but if anyone knows more about coding then I do, I was hoping it was just a setting I could disable and boom it would work... naive, but hopeful. 

Any other suggestions on how I could make this work would be greatly appreciated too.

Hi @FaithBest unfortunately no. 

Bookmark widget is designed to stores a collection of map view extents and info. It is originally designed for the purpose of sharing map locations. 
We enhanced the Bookmark widget in ExB to remember layer visibility to allow user better tell the location story. However it is not the main feature of this widget. 
So we cannot disable the extent change of the Bookmark widget. If you just wan to control layer visibility, when creating new bookmark items, make sure you do not move map around (do not change extent) and just change the layer visibility. If you keep the map window open in the widget when adding new bookmark items, it by default duplicate from the preview bookmark, so the extent won't change unless you move around.
