Layout export to PDF failed

Question

I am encountering an issue when exporting a layout to PDF in ArcGIS Pro 3.3.1. The process fails without providing any specific error message, displaying only a red alert that says: "Export Failed." However, exporting the layout to other formats like JPG or SVG works without any problems.

Are you using any of the Export Presets for your PDF or the generic export to PDF?  There is BUG-000172255 - Layouts containing specific 'Picture Elements' when exported using the 'Export Layout as Flattened PDF' option in ArcGIS Pro fails with error 'Export Failed'.  It's reproducible at 3.3.0, 3.3.1, 3.3.2 and 3.4.  It's in the product plan to fix.
