So i have tried the web based VS tool on differing account and in differing areas and it appears something is wrong with the tool or elevation dataset it uses. It produces just a buffer with no occluded areas at all even if i place the observer in a deep valley as an example.

Thank you for the post. I have tried the Create Viewshed tool in the same area and I am getting a valid result. So it looks like this is not reproducible.Please let us know if you still see any issue with it. Thanks,Xuguang
