Anyone applied Linear Referencing to a UN implementation?

Hi all,

Has anyone applied Linear Referencing System (LRS) approaches to a UN data model? I'm look at options to manage events and segments along a linear feature without creating a nested chain of non-spatial objects. As an example, would it be possible to use LRS to record segments where a subnetwork line or a linear feature is in a duct?

Looking at the help guide for the "Configure UN Feature Class for LRS" tool (https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/location-referencing/configure-utility-network-feature-class.htm), is this specific to data that uses the Pipeline solutions? Could this same approach be used for Fibre or Electrical models?

I'd be interested to know if anyone is using LRS with a UN implementation.

@geovolve Absolutely, LRS can be modelled on Utility Network features. This pattern is well-established for Gas and Pipeline organizations.  The pattern is discussed at following resources:

The modelling principles can be borrowed and applied to other domains like Fiber, Electric, if needed with careful design and development.
