Changing the base symbology of a hosted feature layer as I am utilizing it for a separate application

Hey ArcGIS community. So a software I use (known as Tyler Eagle, an assessment software) has the ability to integrate ArcGIS online layers. I have linked the URLs to our public layers to this software but have just one slight issue. Whenever this 3rd party software pulls the layer, it utilizes the baseline symbology from the hosted feature layer, which is a blue transparent fill with a black outline. I am trying to see if there is a way to change the hosted layer symbology itself so if I were to ever load the layer into MapViewer, it would showcase this symbology (Ideally no fill, red outline), and subsequently load like that in my software. Does anyone know if ESRI ever allowed this capability? Is there a workaround that may suffice? I tried overwriting the feature layer in Pro but to no avail.

What do you mean with baseline symbology? Have you tried to change the standard symbology of your layer? From the Item Details page you go to Visualization.

hi @LakeCountyCOGIS, are you referencing the hosted feature layer item or the REST URL?
I can't speak to the integration with Tyler Eagle but as for setting the symbology at the item level you can try the following:

If you want to be able to have your feature layer preserve the symbology without having to reconfigure it again and again, you can do this by going to the layer's overflow menu and clicking "Save." Popups, symbology, forms, etc will all be saved to that feature layer item so any time you bring it into a map you'll have the same starting point!

You can then bring it into a new map and make any changes and save to the map itself. This allows you to override the feature layer's saved settings on a map by map basis.
