Network Dataset only opens in Read-only

Last week I built a network dataset on my testing server and it worked well and I like the results.

Now I am attempting to rebuild it on my production server but encounter an issue where it will only open in read-only mode. I just want to review some of the scripts in restrictions / hierarchy that I set but am unable to open them to inspect.

I have verified there are no locks, or connections, attempting to close and reopen ArcPro, restarted my computer, and even tried to old soft reset of renaming the folder Esri_OLD.

Any ideas as to why this is occurring?

I had a similar issue. It turned out to be caused by versioning. Turning versioning off for the feature dataset cleared the "read only" issue.

I have the same issue, The Feature Dataset is not versioned. is there another Versioning-Setting somewhere else?

@EdidiongEkanem I believe after you publish the Network Dataset to Portal that this occurs. To make any changes, you might have to delete it from Portal, then republish.

Hey, could you find any solution to this yet ?

It is within an sde, but I have removed any locks or connections to it and it persist. It is on a dev server that only I have access to and no services are running off it.. So I am hesitant to relocate it.

Have you checked if you have a read only file share? Or you can try to copy it to another location and see if that works?
