Hello. I am trying to set up the Search by Layers feature within a webmap in ArcGIS Online. I am not able to see one of the fields I am trying to set up. Is there something that needs to be configured for each field in order for it to be able to be searched? This thread https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online-questions/cannot-search-multiple-fields-for-hosted-feature/m-p/1479785#M59398 has a similar issue so wondering if this is just another bug.
Field not seen in dropdown below
Thanks!
The field type needs to be integer or string. Domains also cannot be used on the fields.

If you are able to send me the SD file created under My Content when publishing to your portal I can check it out.
Hi @RussRoberts , I know this post is old, but figured I'd try here before opening up a new topic. I am having a similar problem with a Hosted Feature Layer in our Enterprise Portal. I've made sure the field is a string and does not have domains associated with the values, I also went ahead and built indexes for the attribute. Any advice or suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated!
Currently nothing on our roadmap to expand this out. The next steps for this will be to bring the experience into Map Viewer where you can build and test/use the search without having to go to the settings on the item.
Thank you! I missed that document when I was looking this up. Do you know if fields other than integer or string will be supported in the future?
