Termination of the ArcGIS Developer Subscriptions

As part of our ongoing efforts to simplify the ArcGIS Developer offering, we will discontinue the ArcGIS Developer Subscriptions - Essentials, Builder, Professional, Premium, and Enterprise plans.<\/SPAN><\/P>This change allows us to consolidate the offering and optimally support developers in their daily tasks. In today's digital world, there are numerous possibilities to develop, test, and deploy apps and services across various infrastructures. Developers expect an offering tailored to their area of responsibility.<\/P> <\/P>What does the termination of the ArcGIS Developer Subscriptions mean? <\/H4>The ArcGIS Developer Subscriptions Essentials, Builder, Professional, Premium, and Enterprise will be discontinued and replaced by focused offerings based on the new ArcGIS Developer Bundle<\/STRONG>, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Location Platform<\/STRONG>.<\/P> <\/P>Why are the ArcGIS Developer Subscriptions being terminated? <\/H4>We want to optimally support developers in their daily tasks.<\/P>Each infrastructure requires different architectural concepts and defines the deployment possibilities of ArcGIS. Agile startups initially only need Location Services to enhance their apps. They also do not have GIS expertise and will likely not build GIS specialist knowledge in the near future.<\/P>System integrators must install, extend, and roll out ArcGIS in complex system environments following DevOps best practices. They need the complete technology stack of ArcGIS Enterprise with all function servers.<\/P>Data science teams recognize the added value of Location Intelligence for enhancing their analyses. They need access to ArcGIS combined with AI/ML open source libraries in various environments. Starting from their own laptop as a Spatial Data Science workstation, through ArcGIS Notebooks in ArcGIS Online for integration tests, up to scaling ArcGIS Notebook Server with their own Spatial Data Science Docker images in multicloud environments or their own server infrastructure.<\/P> <\/P>What is the timeline? <\/H4>The timeline is directly linked to the ArcGIS Online June release.<\/P>June 19, 2024<\/STRONG><\/TD>Last chance to activate an Essentials plan via https:\/\/developers.arcgis.com<\/A><\/P><\/TD><\/TR>June 25, 2024<\/STRONG><\/TD>Last chance to activate an ArcGIS Online Dev & Test Organization (Builder, Professional, Premium, Enterprise Plan)<\/TD><\/TR>June 26, 2024<\/STRONG><\/TD>Activated Essentials plans will be automatically transferred to an ArcGIS Location Platform account. Existing ArcGIS Developer Subscriptions (Builder, Professional, Premium, Enterprise) will no longer be automatically renewed.<\/P><\/TD><\/TR>June 28, 2024<\/STRONG><\/TD>From this date onward, access to Location Services will only be possible via an ArcGIS Location Platform account. ArcGIS Location Platform offers an improved developer experience compared to ArcGIS Platform.<\/TD><\/TR>September 26, 2024<\/STRONG><\/TD>No more orders for ArcGIS Developer Subscriptions (Builder, Professional, Premium, Enterprise) will be processed.<\/TD><\/TR><\/TBODY><\/TABLE>

 <\/H4>What happens to existing apps and data of an activated ArcGIS Online Dev & Test Organization? <\/H4>Every activated ArcGIS Online Dev & Test Organization will be <\/SPAN>automatically transferred into an ArcGIS Online Organization after June 25, 2024 <\/SPAN><\/STRONG>. Existing apps and data remain preserved. Customers and partners can purchase the necessary ArcGIS Online User Types for development & testing after the subscription expires.<\/SPAN><\/P> <\/P>What does the new ArcGIS Developer Bundle include? <\/SPAN><\/H3>The new ArcGIS Developer Bundle replaces the ArcGIS Developer Subscriptions (Builder, Professional, Premium, Enterprise). It focuses on the use of ArcGIS Enterprise with function servers for development & testing<\/STRONG> in any infrastructure. The included ArcGIS software is based on the discontinued ArcGIS Developer Subscription Enterprise plan.<\/SPAN><\/P>The new ArcGIS Developer Bundle will no longer include an ArcGIS Online Dev & Test Organization nor access to Location Services from ArcGIS Location Platform.<\/SPAN><\/P>The new ArcGIS Developer Bundle is ideal for data science teams. From the workstation with ArcGIS Pro up to scaling clusters with ArcGIS Notebook Server, AI/ML models can be developed, trained, and deployed in production environments.<\/SPAN><\/P> <\/P>Can proven DevOps scenarios be mapped with the new ArcGIS Developer Bundle? <\/SPAN><\/H4>Yes, the included ArcGIS software can be installed as often as needed for development & testing in supported versions across various infrastructures.
