I am trying to write the contents of my GDB to a zipfile for uploading to AGOL, however when running the script, i run into the error of it being locked, how would i go about resolving this error?

Open up the file geodatabase in File Explorer and have a look to see if there are any .lock files. If there are then they will have the name of the desktop / laptop name and ask the people to close ArcMap / ArcGIS Pro down.
You may have ArcGIS Pro open... if so then close it down.
And then run your code.
If you are running the code inside of an ArcGIS Notebook inside of ArcGIS Pro then I would recommend you copy and paste the code into a developer environment outside of ArcGIS Pro as you may need to close ArcGIS Pro down.
