include values and text in a non-note type question calculation

Hi,

I currently have the following note:

''${layer_number_bs_disp}' compaction to be ≥ ${compaction_target_bs} % of the MDD. MDD of ${mdd_disp} t/m³ to be used for ${material_description_bs_disp} material used on site.

This works and displays great in my survey however as it is a note, I cannot reference it in the report template. If i do, no value is pulled through.

is it possible to change it to a text type so i can reference it in the report template  and somehow have the result of the above populate as the answer? drawing the necessary values into the output...

If you actually want to use the output of that question, you should change it's type. "notes" are intended to be, essentially, ephemeral.

Change it to a "Text" question and set it to Read Only = Yes.

This should give you the functionality you are looking for.
