Does anyone know how to set it up so that Experience Builder (exb) can be translated into multiple languages without having to recreate the exb multiple times in different languages?
Thanks,
Garth
Hi there!
We created a translation widget for plain text labels (Text widget) some time ago and it worked properly. Here the oficial doc: https://developers.arcgis.com/experience-builder/sample-code/widgets/translation/
Basically, you can develop a custom widget or some of them - in our case, accompained by a language selector to modify the locale in place - to make this work. Hope this help!
Good to know. This may mean that we are not able to use Experience Builder for some things at this time but I will need to pass that on to the powers that be.
Were you looking for a button to change the language, there unfortuately nothing like that at the moment. There is query parameter you can use to switch the language, this should work for all the widgets that have translation files associated, but it won't change any text that you have manually entered, eg he title of the experience.
I think these are the only options other than re-creating at this stage.
