ControlPointsGeoreference - is maximum of 4 a technical limitation?

Hey all,

I've been using the new MediaLayers to do some simple georeferencing proof of concepts.

Its a really powerful tool but I've found a slight limitations of four control points - where adding a 5th or 6th point would "tighten" the georeferencing in line with expected results. Is there a technical limitation to adding more than four points? Or could this be a potential enhancement for the future?

Hi @LukeCalladine, I'm glad you are finding MediaLayer useful!

Yes there is a limitation of 4 control points due to the perspective transformation we are using to place the media with ControlPointGeoreference. I'd suggest georeferencing the images in Pro and publish them as a service if higher accuracy is needed.
