Edited. Previous title: Use Processing Extents in all applicable geoprocessing tools.
It looks like Processing Extents functionality is available in some GP tools: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/analysis/geoprocessing/basics/extent-control.htm
Can the Processing Extents functionality be added to the Register with Geodatabase geoprocessing tool?
What tools were you thinking of that are missing a processing extent parameter?
You could also use the Geoprocessing Environments Settings to set a processing extent for the tools you run. Or, you could use a tool’s Environments tab on the geoprocessing pane.

@MargaretCrawford
If I recall, I was thinking of Data Management tools like Register with Geodatabase.
@Bud Sweeping ideas that cover multiple functional areas like this cannot be tracked or implemented. It takes specific effort per tool to support a processing extent. I suggest you update the idea to be specifically about the tool Register with Geodatabase, which will be assigned a Geodatabase label and can be left open. If you prefer to enter a new idea to cover that, this idea will be closed.
@DrewFlater I edited the idea, as you suggested.
