Question regarding data source

Good morning all,

When creating an ExB app, does all the data need to be part of a webmap or can you attach information directly from a database? Trying to figure out what types of configurations need to be thought of as we start some new projects in ExB. Knowing this in advance would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, click the data icon (pancakes) and "add data."

In my experience, the easiest/best way to get data into Experience Builder is to use it in a webmap, but it is not necessary to do so. It is entirely possible to build an Experience with no map at all. Here is the documentation on what can be used as a data source in Experience Builder and how to get it in your Experience.
