CSV Field Types

Hi,

This may be a super novice question. Creating a workflow pulling CSV to a feature service. All is well, except the only fields populating are string fields. I need integers in addition to string. I have tried changing field type via the geodefinition of the CSV file, but I am still not getting the needed integers to pull through. I have specified the field type on Excel prior to exporting to CSV (if that even matters).

Unfortunately, it doesn't really matter. There's nowhere in the CSV file to hold things like field metadata, so the fields are assumed based on the contents, no matter how you had them set up in Excel.

I'm not particularly familiar with GeoEvent Server, but does it present you any point at which you can set up field mapping between sources? For us, when we have CSV data that needs to be loaded into a Feature Service, we use something like Python to hard-code what the data types are prior to appending any data.
