Hi. I have installed the ArcGIS Monitor 2023.2 on Windows OS.
I am trying to Register a Windows host for Monitoring.
I have the following:
- ArcGIS Monitor Server is running with a gMSA account
-The Windows host that I want to monitor satisfies all the prerequisites as suggested here: Register Windows hosts—ArcGIS Monitor | Documentation
- When I tried to Register Windows host , I gave the FQDN of the host as the Address.
- I opted for Inherit credentials , so that the same gMSA account could be used for connecting to host machine.
-When I click Register Component, I get this error :" Action Timed out: Communication timeout between Agent and Server"
-I have installed the ArcGIS Monitor Server and Postgres data base on the same Windows server. I have not installed the agent.
So why am I receiving the communication timeout between agent and server error?
If I try to use the IP address, I am forced to use "User Name" and "Password" and I can't inherit the gMSA account. And if this is the case, I cant use gMSA as I cant use the password. I want to use the single gMSA account to gather metrics from many hosts.
