Sidebar edit widget form - where to edit?

Question

I have a Sidebar instant app that I have the edit widget turned on - however, I have no idea where I need to edit the feature layer because there are fields showing up in the edit widget that shouldn't be. These fields are turned off / not editable in the feature layer visualization, the web map in map viewer classic, the web map in the new map viewer (not showing up in the pop-ups tab) yet in the side bar edit widget they are still showing up - Can someone please point me in the right direction as to where these fields need to be changed?

OK - so smart forms are required for this. I currently have a web mapping application (WAB) connecting to this layer - will converting the pop-ups to forms cause any issues?

You can create a custom editing form in the new map viewer and it will be used in the Sidebar editing tool. Details on how to create the form can be found here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/create-maps/create-form-mv.htm
