I am trying to create a map using ArcGIS for Power BI for a client. I have the data entered via Latitude and Longitude and inserted the variable containing the district name into the color box in Build Visuals tab. That generated a map of points, but I noticed that 9 of the districts had different colors but the other (20ish) districts were all grey. When I looked at symbology, I saw that the grey districts were all combined into a classification called "Other".
I moved each of these districts out of other and gave them different colors. This displayed the districts as I wanted. I then clicked on several features on the report (table, slicers, etc.) and the points on the map eventually reverted back to the 9 colors and a grey "Other" display. I corrected it again, but it eventually reverted back to the default.
I also noticed that when I looked at the Location Type (under the Visual tab), the selected country was "World", Since my points (including the Lat/Long) all fell within the USA, I changed the country to "United States". Doing so immediately reverted the color symbology back to the 10 districts and an "Other" and the country was immediately changed back to "World" (the program did this).
I want my classifications to remain as I set them and not revert back to the defaults; how do I fix this issue?
