Sorry I missed to reply for so long - yes, this is the default if your polygons do not have z coordinates.We have logged your case for prioritizing this feature.

this is in our backlog but not yet planned for a release.
Could you please explain the use case you are trying to solve using this property? This helps us to prioritize our backlog.
