Introduction and Question about The Virtual Estuary GIS

Greetings to the community,

This is John Davis introducing myself with a question about a project I would like to work on.

I am a GIS student at Santa Monica College in California.

Having read the excellent article, The Virtual Estuary, which was written in 2010 and co-authored by Sandra Fox and Stephen Bourne, I would like to apply this model to a similar environment in California.

If anyone has any suggestions or links to resources in this regard, please post them.
