Is there a way to add a sketch to the legend on Mapviewer? I added a sketch outline of a property and want to note what the outline is in the legend but I can't figure out how to add the sketch to the legend.
You can export the Sketches as e.g. shapefile, then re-import this file into your project to make a hosted feature layer out of it. Then you have to restyle it, but it does show in the legend.
Tools > Data management > Extract data (I only have the German version, so I'm not exactly sure what the tools are called in English...)
Hope this helps!
It's three years later and I have the same issue. I can't show labels for sketches or add them to the legend. When I print the map, they are just undefined blobs on the map.
Any ideas?
There isn't a way to do this currently, and this is consistent with the way Map Notes were handled in Map Viewer Classic.
That said, in Classic, you could export the notes layer, add it to you map, and view it in your legend.
Sketch layers in Map Viewer will also be evolving and will include export capabilities in the future. If you have any ideas about what you like to see, submit them to the Ideas section.
