render only when filtered

Hi,

I find the "render only when filtered" dashboard option in the actions very useful, especially when the layer involved has many records that make it difficult to visualize it on a map.

I have not managed to do the same in Experience Builder.

It occurs to me that this functionality would be useful in the filter and query widgets.

This feature plus the capability to customize an initial no data message like "Select from list to filter chart" would be super helpful and make the apps much better visually.

The lack of this feature is one reason I find myself coming back to Dashboards for some filtering use cases (especially in situations where initially unfiltered layers would result in a very slow app) - would be great to see it implemented here.

Just to echo the comments from others, this is a really useful feature in dashboards and would be great to have in Experience Builder.

Yes I'm totally in favour of this and would love if someone has a workaround. I use it all the time in Dashboards and need it here as well...

I came up with a really stupid looking work around. It only works if your filter bank is OR'd, but if you have a filter with "Apply this filter automatically" and that always evaluates to false, this keeps the layer hidden until they turn on another clause in the OR group. It looks stupid because you to have this workaround filter at the top of the list and that you'd have to name something like "Hide layer when not filtered" or "Don't turn this off". A silly workaround for this is that I'm just going to put an opaque text box on top of that workaround filter so people can't see it.
