Data Sharing Policies/Agreements

Question

Hi - I'm looking for information on other utilities' procedures/policies for handing requests for data. I'm particularly interested in policies that try to strike a balance between data sharing and system security. I'm also interested in whether utilities have different or "tiered" policies depending on the request: (a) the type of assets, (b) geographic precision, (c) geographic extent/scope, (d) non-spatial attributes requested, as well as any redistribution agreement(s) you may require.

If your utility has policy/procedure/thinking along these lines that you can share, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Hi All,

I would like to jump on @andysp request. I am in Washington with Alderwood Water / Wastewater District. We currently have a lengthy NDA when we have a GIS request which results in a major delay with lawyers back and forth. For the agencies we work with regularly, we would like to speed up the process while still making sure our data is safe.
