Is it possible to set visibility ranges in Hub map?

We have an open data site on Hub. Would it be possible to set a visibility range on the default Hub map? The visibility rule is honored in Map Viewer, but doesn't seem to work on the Hub map. Basically there are some point features that we don't want users to be able to view beyond a certain maximum scale, unless they choose to download. Thank you!

Thank you for this post, I didn't notice until I read it that the default extent that I have set in my AGOL settings is not being honored by the Hub data preview maps. I think this is a really important thing to have happen.
