Map Service Identify Support for Multipart Polygon

Identify operation on a layer service fails without returning any error code given a multipart geometry polygon as Geometry parameter. Anyone aware if geometry parameter in Identify ArcGIS REST API supports multipart polygon or polygon with hole geometries.
