NWI Wetlands Feature Layer shows all features on legend when "Only show features visible" is checked.

Hi,

I am running into an issue where I am creating a layout with a legend. The legend and the legend item have "Only show features visible" checked. However, I am using a feature layer service from NWI. This wetlands layer in my map ignores the "Only show features visible" setting. I work with this layer daily and it gives me so many problems.

Does anyone else have this issue?

This is odd behavior.  I'm working with NWI (California) data from ArcGIS Online; added it to a new map view; create a layout; add a legend; set properties with (and without) the check box for "only show features visible in the map extent" - see attached.  It works as expected.

Can you share specifically what web layer you're working with so I may test?
