xy table to point

Question

When I call the 'xy table to point' tool and select the browse icon, ArcGIS pro freezes completely and is unresponsive. I have to use 'end task' to force shut down the programme. This happens regardless of which project I open.

Running ver. 2.8.1. on an a MS windows 10 machine. 32 GB ram, dell i7. It's a well spec'd laptop.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Dan

Yes, it was freezing with other tools as well. Any attempt to browse to an input file seemed to trigger a complete freeze.

does it freeze with all tools?

Is it a geodatabase table? excel? csv?

Have you tried adding the table to a local file geodatabase first? then try the tool?
