Restricting scale on a web map

Question

Hi there,

I'm looking to restrict the level of zoom on the webmap.

Previously, I restricted the scale levels of my map within the ArcGIS Pro workspace and published it as a tiled web layer. When I view the tiled layer, it shows the restricted zoom. Yet, when I add the tile service to my web map, the limited scale and zoom levels are no longer applied and I am able to zoom right in.

How do I restrict my scale so as zooming in is restricted to a certain level within the web map?

Any help is appreciated.

Hello Brendan,

You should be able to set the visible range of the layers within Map Viewer using the steps in the documentation below (these steps apply specifically to Map Viewer Classic):

This workflow should also function for hosted tile services.
