Does anyone have any suggestions for tracking Inspection IDs in a Collector environment? I am planning to create a hosted point feature class for inspections and I would like to include an Inspection ID field with Auto-Incrementing values.
This is currently not supported in the app today but it is something we want get into the app in a future release.
Thanks Russell
Do you have an estimate of when this will be available?
Has this been added to Collector yet?
also looking for this addition
We are also waiting for this feature
Is there any update? You mentioned getting this functionality in future updates, well its been almost 2 yrs since first brought up.
This is still not supported in the app today. The team is working on supporting high accuracy GPS devices on iOS, Android and Windows for their upcoming release. I dont work directly on Collector anymore but I've passed your comments along to the product owner. If I hear of any changes I'll update this thread.
Russ
This would be very beneficial. We are trying to move exclusively to Collector with Bad Elf GNSS devices for data collection, but the lack of auto-increment field functionality is a big drawback.
How is the accuracy with Bad Elf, what device are you using them with?
The accuracy is great. Tested against multiple monuments and is consistently < 0.5 m. We are pairing them with iPad Mini's and iPhones.
Auto increment would be nice ................
Has this happened yet?
This is really important to our work as well. Would love to see this feature.
This would also be incredibly helpful for my team's project. Right now we rely on the FID's auto-increments and then copy those values to an id field afterwards.
Would also really like to see this implemented, in order for our organization to effectively use Collector.
Hi, it looks like this feature is due for inclusion in the new Aurora App which is currently in BETA - 'Auto-calculated fields'. I may be wrong, but I believe you can still join the BETA programme to provide feedback and comment accordingly.
