How to search by layer Map Viewer Beta

Question

I'm trying to replicate a map that I've created using old (web map and web app builder) into new (map viewer beta and experience builder) version.

How can I set my search up to be based off a layer within my map and then bring up the popup based of that layer?

Search by layer can be configured in the settings tab of your web map item details page. When configuring a new 4.x configurable app (instead of web app builder), you have more options to search by layer than when configuring it in the settings tab of the web map item details page.
