Can you update an existing Project Template?

Question

About 6 months ago I created various project templates for us to use. We now have some updated County imagery that I would like to add to these templates for future use. Is there a way to update an existing project template? When I open the template through the main start up screen, it wants me to create a new project (ie choose a place to save the project), but I don't want to create a new project to update the template if I don't have to.

I am also looking for an answer to this. I tried opening the archive within the template's 7-zip to extract the project from within and edit that but it didn't update the template saved within ArcGIS Pro. I would really prefer to not make a bunch of new templates so if anyone has a solution to this please send in any suggestions.

I am having the same issue as Abra and cannot find any related threads providing a solution. How do I access my existing template to make changes without creating a whole new project?
