Threatened and Endangered Species layer

I am trying to add a layer to the map that shows the threatened and endangered species throughout the map. I am not very familiar with this program and the only layer I could find just showed me that numbers and not the locations and types of species. Please let me know if you can help, thanks!

You will need to find location data for each species you want to include in the map.  https://www.iucnredlist.org/resources/spatial-data-download may have what you're looking for. Another good source for species collection data is www.GBIF.org.
