I'm using Field Maps in Enterprise with a service that references registered data. One of the layers in this service is symbolized based on two fields, but I grouped many of the unique values together because there were too many values and only some needed to be differentiated (e.g. I would like to know what is a domestic spigot vs a irrigation spigot, but I don't need to differentiate between domestic shutoff valves and domestic air release valves). I created 9 templates for this layer in ArcGIS Pro and overwrote the service, but if I try to add a new feature in Field Maps I see 30+ templates--my 9 templates plus all the unique value combinations.
Anyone have ideas on how to get rid of all these extra templates I don't want? Or am I out of luck because I'm using registered data? I'm prevented from modifying templates in Field Maps and Map Viewer Classic. Initially I used definition queries and separated the data into two different layers with different symbology which made it cleaner, but "Offline areas won't work if the same layer has been added twice."
