Happy New Year! Here are features planned for 2023. Keep in mind that they are subject to change please.
Cheers,
@DustinEdge_Boroondara there is actually this roadmap (i find it only in french) : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Tvd_nEt4uWVcyUEMOSi6ZxXJi4yMtpHp/view

@Jianxia any chance there's a similar slide for the 2024 Experience Builder Roadmap?
@MatthewMalone , the ability to draw text is on the 2024 roadmap. Thanks for letting us know the importance of the feature.
@JaimeGiesenBLM , thanks for sharing the WAB app. It looks great! The standalone Select widget is currently on the track for Q1 2024.
Hi @Jianxia : Any chance we'll see the ability to draw text added to the EB Draw widget in 2024? I've transitioned many of my WAB apps to EB, but my users always seems to instantly point out that the ability to add text is critical to them producing their own maps.
Thank you!
Hello,
I'm happy to hear that the stand alone select widget for Experience Builder is expected to be released in Q1 2024. I'm posting to let you know that we have a public facing app that is heavily used that we are moving over from Web App Builder before end-of-life in June '24 (wanting to do it before that actually) that uses the WAB select widget as a main feature. This is a big priority for us. Thank you.
BLM Rights-of-Way Planning Tool: BLM Rights-of-Way Planning Tool
@RachappaBellappa , this feature is on the track to be available in Q1 2024, around the end of February.
@Jianxia - Are there any progress for the URL parameters? The current share widget doesn't have the capability of sharing the features(Zoom to feature)
@Jianxia:following up, can you explicitly confirm that the Analysis/GeoProcessing widget will be released in the next six (6) weeks?
@Jianxia , thank you very much for your responses. Regarding the online training, I was hoping for more extensive free on-line training for those of us who are paying annual maintenance. The $1,900 per class training are very robust and comprehensive, but financially out of reach for many of us that don't work for large employers with big training budgets.
@Jianxia Thank you for letting me know the locator tool should showing on a smaller map in Mobile, has been added as backlog issue.
I heard at the UC that a redesign is coming for Exb for true mobile first configuration within Exb. Is this still on track for early 2024?
Thank you
@KennyLohr1 , unfortunately the URL parameters, originally planned for Q4 2023, did not make to the October release. Currently it is on the track for Q1 2024, in the mid of February.
@TomDuncanGIS , Currently we are evaluating the parity in each widget and will provide a plan so you have a clear picture on when to migrate apps. The instructor-led two-day online training is also available:

@Anonymous User , thanks for letting us know. We are now working on the parity in each widget and hopefully get to the place that meet your migration requirements soon. Appreciate that you gave Experience Builder a run.
@RyanBohan , agree. the locator tool should show on a smaller map in Mobile. Your request has been added to a backlog issue.
Hi @RamonPierce1 ,
Yes, this functionality is already available in new Near Me. It works with the Search widget using message action. In you app, add Search widget and configure your locator (geocode and/ or feature layer), then from the action tab of Search widget click -> Add a trigger -> Record selection changes ->Near Me ->Set location. Save your app. Now if you search for an address or a feature, it will be used as an input location in Near Me. This blog will walk you through the process, check Add and configure the search widget section https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/experience-builder/natural-resources/recreating-near-me-wo...
@Jianxia Do you know if ExB development is still on track to achieve URL parameter parity with WAB for Q4 this year? If so, about when would that Q4 update happen?
I know there was just an ArcGIS Online update that just went live, I assume that was the Q3 update, right?
And they have the audacity to inform us that we will simply need to rebuild all of our WAB apps in EXB. I am so sick of ESRI pushing all of the work on their customers.
Agreed. I spent dozens of hours trying to replicate the functionality of my WAB Production apps and concluded almost a year ago that ExB is still really in Beta, despite what Esri has labeled it. I check on it every few months after the periodic updates, but there are just too many things in ExB that needs work to match the functionality and stability of WAB or even the Instant Apps.. At this point Esri should be realistic and push out retirement of WAB at least a year or two. Esri should focus on matching WAB functionality first before adding any fancy new features or widgets, and expanding the online training for ExB. That is how adoption of ExB will be accelerated.
I took down our public Experience Builder apps and went back to our WAB apps. Between several bugs and limitations and all these widget issues (how is there not a basic measure widget we can configure?), I won't be revisiting ExB for at least another year. I was hopeful that migrating would be easier, but to me, ExB is not a replacement for WAB right now, and it's disappointing that Esri is pushing us by retiring WAB in 2025. Esri - you have ALOT of work ahead of you in the next year.
Hi @Jianxia
Will the new NearMe widget eventually have the functionality to display results, via an inputted layer file, like in the screenshot below?
I currently have a WAB that returns major districts from an inputted address and zoom to the address on a map. I want to replicate this in Experience Builder. Thanks.
@ADev The ExB's map widget has an embedded measure tool. Though, you cannot configure it like you could in WAB. I just created this idea requesting the Ability to change the default units in measure widget. Since the Functionality Matrix for Web AppBuilder and Experience Builder show the measure widget as already implemented, I'm guessing your response from @Jianxia would be just that. This is why I made the specific idea about setting the measure tools units as opposed to simply asking for the same configurability as the measure tool in WAB. Most of the time our requests have to start small.
Thank you for your quick answer @Jianxia . Another question, will the Measurement widgets as in WebApp builder be available in ExB?
@Cory_Williams, This is a known issue. We plan to address it in 2024. In fact, Experience Builder does not support for displaying related records in Feature info, Table, Query widgets, etc. It is one of the important capabilities that has not been migrated over. Your request has been added to it.
hi @Jianxia
Sorry, I meant to say, related objects in the Feature Info panel.
In the popups, they appear correctly, however the Feature Info panel doesn't display the related items, as they are configured in the popup.
This is something I just mocked up as an example.
Left is the Feature Info panel and on the right is the standard poup.
You'll see under Owner Details, on the left, it's just blank and doesn't display any records.
@DevranKücükyildiz , Add Data and Basemap Gallery will be available in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.2. See the what's coming in Experience Builder in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.2 post.
I have an request about two different widgets. Can you provide information on when the widgets for the "Add data" and "Basemap gallery widget" will be available in Experience Builder on Enterprise?
Could we add improving the mobile layout on the roadmap? Anything I build in Exb either may be viewed on mobile or will be exclusively viewed on mobile.
For example, I would love if the mobile layout was reconfigured to support smaller map sizes. Currently a map must have a height of 465 pixels to see the locate button. Anything under 465 pixels and you can not use the locate button (it disappears)
For a mobile first application, this is a requires the map to be very large. I would prefer to be able to use a map about half that size and include the locate button on the very top. How do I move the locate map button on mobile view... - Esri Community
Thank Jianxia for responding to the group filter question. I know a lot of us have been very eager to have this functionality added -- it's definitely been my biggest issue with ExB to date.
If anyone is curious, I've developed a workaround to filtering multiple datasets with a common field. You can use the list widget to essentially create buttons and then trigger a framework filter for each layer. It is a little buggy at times, but it works and is much more user friendly than the search widget.
@RyanCoodey, for #2, the pop up will support Data Action in the upcoming release in October, so you can click a feature location on the map as an input location in Near Me. For #1, add @AzizaParveen1 for comments.
