Editing Living Atlas Layers in ArcPro

Question

Hello,

I am trying to clip USA Soils Map Units layer from the Living Atlas to my study area. I have a shapefile created for my study area. My goal is to clip the Soils Maps Units layer to my study area.

I have tried the "clip","Clip Layer" and "Pairwise Clip".

Ah the dredded ERROR 999999 code. That one doesn't really help me troubleshoot the error. I'm using ArcGIS Pro 3.0.3 and followed the directions I wrote earlier and it worked fine with no errror messages. One thing to try is to rename the ESRI folder in your C:/users//appdata/local and C:/users//appdata/roaming to ESRI_OLD and retry the workflow. What is the result?

Ben - to edit the layers, you need run the Seelct by Location GP tool first to select those soil polygons from the soils feature service that intersects with your Study Area, then in the Contents Pane, right click on the USA Soils Map layer and select the Data->Export Features command.  In the Export Features GP tool, define the location and file type (shapefile or gdb) feature class.  This will export the data to a local copy that you can then edit locally.
