Map Series to create Electric Circuit Maps

Question

I am looking for a way to create electric circuit maps using the Map Series tool. Ideally, the end product would consist of a schematic map series where each circuit can individually be printed on a series of maps. For example: circuit #12345 is chosen which pulls up all "grids" containing that circuit, and printed in the series. So if I was looking to only print that circuit, I would click on that circuit in the Map Series and it would print all grids containing that circuit.

Any ideas on how to make the connection between specific circuits and the Map Series tool?

Depending on how many circuits you have, you could create a bookmark for each circuit and create a Bookmark Map Series. Otherwise, for a Spatial Map Series, use the layer containing the circuit numbers as the Index Layer with the circuit number field as the Name Field. You'll then need to determine the Map Extent that best fits your circuits (depending on whether they are close to the same size or varying sizes).
