At NASA we are leading a globally interconnected program of scientific discovery that encourages innovation, positive impact on people’s lives, and it also serves as a source of inspiration. Early engagement with new and talented minds are key for our mission. At the Early Career Research (ECR) Program in Earth Science, we are striving for excellence in Earth Science by empowering the next generation of researchers to accelerate and advance the impact of Earth science in society.
This session will consist of a brief introduction to the ECR program and then a series of lightning talks by the awardees highlighting success stories from the 4 projects of ECR: Climate Change Research Initiative, Student Airborne Research Program, Future Investigators in Earth and Space Sciences and Technology, and the Early Career Investigator Program. We will end with a listening session exploring early career professionals' engagement with NASA’s Earth Science to Action strategy.
The session will also serve as a meet-up for all ECR awardees where they can meet other awardees as well as NASA scientists. The session will also provide opportunities for potential awardees to ask questions of past and current awardees as well as the ECR team.
