We have an Experience Builder app that used to be on AGOL that we rebuilt in our new Portal. I updated our embedded surveys from what was in AGOL and they work how they should, except they require users to login to view the embedded survey. How can I modify the URL to automatically login the user to the survey when they login to the Experience/Portal?
Our URL uses the following formatting:
https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/[surveyID]?https://[our domain]/portal&mode=edit&globalId={globalid}&hide=footer,navbar,leaveDialog,header,theme
It's possible you might need to complete these steps: https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/how-to-automatically-sign-in-to-survey123-via-the-app-l-000021099
I know the article is talking about automatically signing into S123 via the app launcher in Portal, while you're talking about auto signing in via a custom S123 URL, but I suspect it's the same thing behind the scenes and that that support article might apply to your scenario as well.
I completed the process as indicated in the documentation. It's difficult for me to check to see if it's working, as the issue is inconsistent between users and Experience Builder pages and applications. I will have my field crew notify me if they see the issue again and I will report back if this was the solution. Thanks for your suggestion!
After some testing, we were able to verify that we are still having the issue, even after following the steps listed in the documentation.
Darn, well I would have bet that would have been it. I'm not sure what would cause them to have to sign in if they're already signed in to begin with, especially if it only happens intermittently. It might be worth reaching out to Esri support.
