Hello,
This posting is somewhat of a follow-up to a previous post I submitted entitled "ArcGIS Server Pre-Install Questions" for which Scott Tansley and Brian Wilson did an admirable job attempting to shed light on documentation mysteries and meanings.
I believe the question I have this time should be fairly simple to answer, but let me set the stage first and repeat myself somewhat from my last post.
We are in the process of retiring a server that is currently running ArcGIS Server 10.4.1. We do not employ Portal. Our new server is up and running and we have been actively applying the pre-requisites for ArcGIS Server 10.9.1, Data Store, and Web Adaptor. My question...
Can I install ArcGIS Server 10.9.1 on our new server without affecting or interrupting any of our current services running on the old server? Logic would dictate that I can, however, I would feel more comfortable hearing from our community of experts for confirmation before proceeding.
Can I also install Data Store and Web Adaptor (which will go on a separate web server) and not cause any issues to our current running services on our old server?
Ideally, I would like to have everything installed on our new server, have our old server still running our services, re-publish all services through the new 10.9.1 version for ArcGIS Online, and be able to do a seamless swap between the two. Perhaps too much to hope for?
Thank you in advance for reading my post.
Jeff
