Batch export MXD in several formats

Working with several MXD's, often i have to update the data and re-export the maps from the layout view.
More than 700 maps have to monthly be updated and re-exported in jpeg, png and pdf format.
It would be nice to have a tool in a toolbox to batch export the mxd's from a directory to all the image formats that are available.

Sounds like a perfect candidate for some python scripting with arcpy.mapping. No need to change the software.

I agree with niklas.norrthon... But I would also add Excel into the mix... ArcPy and Excel would be great for this one!
