Change data source in AGOL map

It would be nice to be able to change the source of data in an AGOL map similar to how it is done in ArcGIS. often I create maps and wnat to change the data source but the only way to do that now is to delete the data in the map and replace it with a new data source. This makes it necessary to change the popups and anything else related to the data

check out the AGOL assistant, it may help you

you can change the services used in a web map. you still cannot fix things (like broken popup fields if you change your web map) but it can help if you are replacing a map service with the same data layers

Check out Admin Tools for ArcGIS Online on the Marketplace also. This free tool gives you this and a lot of other supported tools that you will find useful.

I believe this is possible today using Feature Layer Views. You can swap the data source that the view is pointing at, accomplishing the workflow stated in this idea.
