It is difficult to assess the efficiency of development assistance for conservation, especially for people who are not specialists in the environment. This is due to the lack of effective way of showing the conservation needs and its progress. For example, the website of KBA (Key Biodiversity Area, http:// kba.conservation.or.jp/), only shows the protected area, and there is no information about what kind of animals are living there or how much assistance is invested or needed in this area.
