As with Dutch Kadaster, recognition of the speed of data flow to the end consumer by NOAA is a critical factor in this decision. NOAA Coast Survey will be able to use their cartographers to add value to the underlying vector information rather than in raster compilation workflows. Ideally, this also creates opportunities for companies who will augment navigational information products with other information and analytical tools that are not yet possible.
