Error Installing iPhone SDK Public Beta

Question

I tried doing the installation of the public beta and it failed with a message like ??????the installer encountered problems, contact manufacturer?????? I had a previous version of the SDK installed. How do I uninstall the previous version of the SDK?

/var/log/install.log is the place to look for installation errors. It's how I figured out that the March 20, 2010 beta release didn't like the existence of my MapViewDemo sample files. I moved them and the installer worked. Re-downloaded the installer and it works. It's possible the original download was corrupted by my browser(IE 8). Thanks guys for working with me on this.

Just tried re-installing the Initial Beta and it works perfectly! Something must be up with the new Public Beta install.
