Locked out of ArcGIS Maps for Office

Question

I was prompted to update ArcGis Maps for Office yesterday. After I did, I got two error messages. One tells me the program can't connect to my ArcGIS Online account; the other tells me I don't have the correct privileges. I'm the administrator. I can't do any work at all.

If you are running into this issue follow these steps:

* Please uninstall ArcGIS Maps for office
* Delete the ArcGIS Maps for Office folder in the %appdata% windows location
* Restart your machine
* Re install ArcGIS Maps for Office

Lois and I worked on this issue together, and this was the workflow we did to get it to work again.
