Parcel fabric - road centerline

Can I start using the parcel fabric to input road centerline information before I add any parcel information? I see that the typical workflow is to add parcels, right of way and road centerlines in that order. I was wondering if I could start backwards with centerlines first and then move to right of way and lastly parcels.

Hello Alicia,

I assume your question relates to a data migration workflow. If you create your data from legal documents ("from scratch") I would recommend you start from the most spatially accurate layer towards the least accurate. If you most accurate data is road center lines it is perfectly OK to start with it and there is documentation on how to import "un-closed parcel'.

If you have trusted control points they are also great to have imported.
